Your First Step Towards CMA: Admission Guide to the Foundation Course

Introduction

Are you dreaming of a career in Cost & Management Accountancy (CMA)? The Foundation Course is your first step. Here's everything you need to know about getting admitted.

Eligibility Criteria

To join the CMA Foundation Course, you should have:

1. Completed Class 10: Or an equivalent from a recognized board or institution.
2. Passed 10+2 or Equivalent: This includes the Senior Secondary School Examination under the 10+2 scheme or any equivalent recognized by the Central Government. Also, diplomas like the National Diploma in Commerce or the Diploma in Rural Service are valid.
3. Exemptions: If you've cleared the Intermediate Exam from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, you’re exempted from the Foundation Course. The same goes for those qualifying for direct admission to the Intermediate Course.

Getting into the course is straightforward:

1. Get the Prospectus: You can find it at Regional Council Offices, Chapters, Recognized Oral Coaching Centres (ROCCs), and CMA Support Centres.
2. Submit the Admission Form: Fill in the Admission Form and Identity Card included in the prospectus and submit them to the nearest Regional Council/Chapter/ROCC/CMA Support Centre.
3. For Foreign Students: Submit your forms directly to the Headquarters.
4. Provide Proof: Attach copies of documents proving your qualifications and age.
5. Timing: Complete your admission at least four months before the exams.
6. Identification Number: You’ll get an ID number valid for three years, along with your Identity Card.
7. Online Admission: Visit the official site for online admission details.

• For June Term Exam: Apply by January 31st of the same year.
• For December Term Exam: Apply by July 31st of the same year.
